Train information now appears on the CIS screen in the main concourse instead of down the platform, but the bay platform for Sunday Darlington trains is still not identified. Hartlepool Council is to run a competition to replace the Tall Ships pictures with new artwork


Coastliners Committee members recently met with officers of Stockton Borough Council to advocate improved  (disabled) access to Billingham station – our preference being a ramp or lift from Marsh House Avenue. The Council officers agreed to investigate the possibilities including whether it was possible to have a lift on an unmanned station and also to advise on lighting and whether a bus stop could be introduced on the bridge. As usual the main problem is of course lack of funds.

Not strictly a Coastline station, but it is the only other Teesside station used by Grand Central.  The new waiting room and greatly enlarged car park were officially opened by James Wharton MP (Minister for the Northern Powerhouse) on 24th July
