Hartlepool station wlll be decorated over the weekend of 11/12 June as part of a National ‘Station to Station’ campaign ( see https://www.queenscelebration.com/ )  to celebrate the Queen’s official 90th birthday.  The Friends of Hartlepool Station, supported by both Northern and Grand Central have organised entertainment ranging from Community choirs and school bands to ukulele groups on Saturday morning whilst you catch your train, together with a flower stall & an information stall. Anyone can come along and join the fun.

Our next open meeting will be joint meeting with the Saltburn Line Rail Users’ Group (SLUG) and will be held on Tuesday 7^th June 2016 at St Mary’s Centre,  Corporation Road, Middlesbrough, from 7.00pm until approximately 8.45pm. The Guest Speaker will be Mr Derek Gittins, Head of Heavy Rail at Nexus. All welcome – please note the  different venue which is at the east end of Corporation Road, not far from the cinema complex.
