On Sunday 17th December Grand Central in conjunction with the Branch Line Society are running a charity special High Speed Train trip from the North East taking in the Hope Valley line & Rochdale. For more information and to book see the BLS web site
The Hartlepool Civic Society held their annual awards night on 25th October. Amongst the awards were certificates for the artwork on Hartlepool station depicting Hartlepool’s visitor attractions. Seen being presented by Pamela Thompson, Vice Chair of the Society, with their special award are the artists Abigail Taylor & Owen Smith
whilst David Armstrong (below left) was presented with a certificate on behalf of sponsors Grand Central Railway Co.. Also pictured is MIke Anderson (right) secretary of the Friends of Hartlepool Station who received a certificate for the clean up and weeding work that the Friends were able to undertake whilst the artwork was being erected. Cllr Kevin Cranney also received a certificate on behalf of Hartlepool Borough Council
